This activity focuses on the concept
that a project is a process centred around information,
and that it is necessary to balance the kinds of activities
in which the learners deal with information.
This activity aims to look at some
of the challenges of PBL, and to look at ways of dealing
with these challenges and any fears that you may have.
Activity

Dealing with fears and potential problems
In
this activity you will explore guidelines for setting
up co-operative groups and compare those with traditional
groups. You will implement the first part of a project
entitled "If I were the Minister of...".
This activity is an opportunity
to reflect on some of the activities you have already
conducted with your learners, and to think about your
own learning in this module so far. Learner-centredness
is a key aspect of PBL which is associated with the
learning theory of constructivism. In this activity
you explore the implications of these theories in
your classroom.
In
this final activity you are given the opportunity to
reflect on the project as a whole, and decide what changes
you will make in the way you implement projects in future.
