The virus is present in all bodily fluids, i.e. semen, vaginal juices, blood and breast milk.
- Sharing of needles with an infected person when using intravenous drugs.
- Through unsterilised blades and needles contaminated with the blood of an infected person.

All doctors agree that HIV is not spread by kissing, hugging, touching, laughing, shaking hands, sneezing, coughing, sharing of utensils such as plates and cups, toilets and swimming.
