Uganda

What's the secret behind Uganda's success? What has Uganda done to fight AIDS?

 - Inculcated Islamic values in society -
- Acknowledged the seriousness of the AIDS pandemic -
- Practiced their ABC's (A-Abstinence, B- Be Faithful and C-Condomize) -
- Set up feeding schemes at major hospitals and projects to economically empower orphans and widows -
- Devolved responsiblity for the pandemic down to the smallest unit of society;the household -
- Learned that fear doesn't make people change their behaviour, but encouragement, support and compassion do -
- Changed their promiscuous way of life -
