Once HIV succeeds in getting into the human body, it immediately searches for the T-cells. The AIDS virus, like a wolf disguised in sheep skin, attaches itself to the T-cell which mistakes it for something familiar. It then fuses its surrounding membrane with that of the host cell. Once the virus is in the T-cell, the viral DNA will enter the T-cell's nucleus and become part of its genetic composition. The T-cell is now unable to recognise foreign substances. The cell begins to reproduce the altered DNA, it actually becomes a factory for procreating its own foe. However, HIV is able to reproduce itself a thousand times faster than any other virus. Once the cell is overused, the viruses EXPLODES out of it, ready to attack other T-cells. Ironically the cells which are supposed to fight infection against the body are the very ones which destroy it.
'This reminds me of the famous Arab Egyptian and Sudanese proverb which rhymes like this 'hamihha haramihha' meaning, 'her guard and protector became her thief and devastator'.
