The purpose of this module is to examine the roles of ICT in schools. In order to do this we need to focus not on the ICT, but on what teachers and learners do to extract maximum value out of the resources that ICT provides. In the process we will need to examine activities generally referred to as computer literacy, which often takes place without integration of any sort. We will consider how learning about ICT can be integrated while learning with ICT. In the process we will look at some exciting developments around minimally invasive learning as well as Vygotsky's reference to spontaneous and schooled learning. |
