The Hluhluwe Game Reserve, located near Mtubatuba and covering an area of 23,060 hectares, is a must for bird lovers as it holds over 400 species. It also boasts a variety of wildlife such as leopard, cheetah, lion, black-backed jackal, reedbuck, nyala, eland, white and black rhinos, giraffe, zebra, kudu, waterbuck and blue wildebeest. One can choose to live in a luxury lodge, a cottage or a hut. The park also offers game-viewing drives on about 84 kilometers of gravel roads, picnic sites, walking trails and shops.
