Project Instructions

Instructions   (Please see project schedule for specific deadlines)

  1. Read the Project Requirements if you have not already done so.
     
  2. Review the Project Purpose and develop a hypothesis for the experiment.
     
  3. Submit a Letter of Introduction from your school to the project Discussion Area. You can also submit photos of your class to the project leader. These photos will be posted on the project website in the Student Area.
     
  4. Do the Boiling Point Experiment.
     
  5. Submit your data to the project website after you have completed the experiment. Use the online form in the Project Data section on the main page to submit your data. The deadline for submitting data is 5:00 pm eastern time, March 21, 2003.
     
  6. Analyze the data reported by all participants. Was your hypothesis correct? You can find instructions for downloading all the data into a spreadsheet file in the Project Data section. The data will be ready for downloading by the end of the day on March 26, 2003.
     
  7. Submit a Final Report, Conclusions, or "Lessons Learned" by students to the project Discussion Area by April 25, 2003.
  8. Read the final reports
