![]() The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is located in central Botswana, and covers 51,800 square kilometers of some of the harshest territory in the country. Although the reserve is accessible throughout the year, only limited access is allowed to visitors under permit. Groups of bushmen still live in the reserve. Visitors to the park need to travel in groups of two or more 4X4 vehicles and carry all necessary survival items including food, water, petrol, spares, compass, and a good map. No accommodation or other facilities are offered within the park. Visitors to the park get a chance to view animals like the lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, spotted and brown hyena, wildebeest, eland, gemsbok and springbok.
