NOTE: How to avoid having a file name such as index.htm.htm
If you are using Front page or Dreamweaver or a similar web page editor, you do not have to add the file name extension .htm at the end of the file name - it is automatically inserted. To see the file name extensions listed in Windows Explorer go to Tools | Folder Options | View and remove the check mark next to Hide extensions for known file types.
Before you publish your website to the
Internet, go through this check list and make changes to your
site if you discover any shortcomings.
- Check for spelling and language errors.
- Check your links to make sure that they
work.
- Check that any graphics are in place.
- Read through again to ensure that you
are not making any obvious mistakes.
You
will be checking all of these points again once you have published. |
