During the next 6 activities you are
going to design a research-based unit of work. You may
revisit the unit of work that you described in Activity
1, or you may wish to plan a new unit from scratch. The
unit must include the activities described
in the basic information skills (Collecting, analysing, organising
and critically evaluating information). We will support
you in achieving this.
You will have to develop some idea of
the bigger picture of your unit during the next activity.
This will enable you to
To assist you in your planning, we provide
an implementation plan template. We will prompt you to
complete various sections as you proceed. By the end you
will have a comprehensive implementation plan.
Open
the implementation plan now. Complete Section A and
save it in your portfolio folders. It is a good idea to
backup this plan by sending a copy to your tutor at the
end of each activity after you have updated it.
Once you have completed Section A and
saved the implementation plan, move on to Activity
3 - Asking the right question.
