Can the use of ICT stimulate effective learning?

Why should you consider the integration of ICT in the early stages of your planning? In attempting to find answers to this question we will first examine what kinds of uses of ICT could be considered appropriate.

Activity

  1. Read What is appropriate ICT use?

  2. Participate in an online group discussion and debate the question of "what is appropriate ICT?" Give your own personal views on the article that you read in preparation for this activity. What additional ideas do you have? Do you agree with the viewpoint expressed in the article?

  3. Consider your focus questions.

Describe the learning activities that you are going to include in your unit so that you incorporate the appropriate use of ICT. Complete Section C of the implementation plan.
  1. Save the plan and send it as a file attachment in email to your tutor (using the subject heading "Implementation plan").
