Siyazakha
Primary School is involved in Community Outreach Programmes
Siyazakha is involved
in a joint venture with Child Welfare and Abalimi Bezekhaya "Gardening
Skills" to the community. The school offered them a piece of land
for demonstration purpose. The aim is to promote self-reliance among
the community as we have a high rate of unemployment in the community.
Due to the high rate
of illiteracy in the community we avail our school in the evening for adult
education.
We are planning to
have a computer centre at the school which will be accessible to the members
of the community. We are still having some obstacles of a classroom.
We are even prepared to convert containers into a classroom.
