Foreword:
The South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of
1996), which came into effect on 1 January 1996, ushered in a new era for
the South African Education system. Since the act provided for a
uniform system for the organisation, governance and funding of all schools,
it has become our endeavour as the staff of Sinethemba and the Philippi
community at large to dedicate our time and effort to rise up to the challenges
of this act for the sake of prosperity for South Africa and all its people.
My thanks go to all those who have put their shoulder on the transformation
wheel both in the past, now and in future.
