On New Years Eve my cousins and relatives come to my house. What we have for dinner is ham or turkey and soup and salad. We play spoons or charades. When we
play spoons everybody reaches across the table really fast to get a spoon. When they are counting down on the TV we get out our kazoos. Then when it's 12:00 Midnight we blow them. It was very exciting.

This year on News Years Eve my family went to my Grandma's and Grandpa's house. We had dinner and stayed up all night until midnight. At midnight my Uncle, Dad and Grandpa wore hats. My Aunt, Mom and Grandma wore crowns with feathers. Me, my sister and my cousin wore plain crowns. I had tons of fun.

Every year me and my sister go to grandmas for the New year. We have turkey, potatoes, and vegetables then we watch a video. My sister goes to bed but I don 't. Then it turns year 2000! I am amazed when the ball dropped on TV! I tell my mom and dad all about it when they come back from their party!

Last year my cousin's and I celebrated New Year's in a very special way. First I went over to my cousin's house at noon on December 31 and we played with his toys until 11:45 P.M., New Years Eve. Then we went down stairs into the family room to watch the ball drop on TV at Midnight. After that we went up stairs to get ready for bed. The next morning I didn't want to leave because I had such a blast the night before.

My family and I have a special Custom. Well we only did it once which was when it turned the year two thousand. We celebrated New Years day by having a big feast with my family, my relatives, my cousins, one of cousin's Grandmas and one of my aunt's and uncle's friends. We had the celebration at my house. I think the celebration lasted for about two hours. Even though it was the first time I did it, I still had fun.

My family went to a block party. We went to three different houses. When we went to my house we had dinner. The first house we went to we had appetizers. When we went to the last house we saw the ball drop on tv. We played ping pong at the last house and they did fireworks at the last house. I hope we can do this next year.

My family and I have a special custom New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve my family and I go to my grandma house to eat and have fun. Sometimes we have potatoes, salad or pumpkin and Apple pie. My grandma makes the pies. I play until night and then I play with my baby cousin P.J. After It is midnight on January 2000 we eat. And when it turned 2000, I turned happy.

This News Years Eve I and my family went to my cousins house who live in Frankenmuth Michigan. My other cousins came too. I ate crackers, cheese, and a subway. My cousins are named Andrew, Rachel, Casey and Callie. When the clock on the TV had 17 seconds everyone started counting down. People shot silly string before it was midnight. My family and I spent the night there but I did not go to sleep. Everyone had a really fun time and next year they will too.

On New Year's Eve I was in Time Square in New York City. At Time Square I got to go to see the Crystal ball. It looked like there were 100 people. All the people where blowing noise makers. When it was over went to the hotel. When I went out I saw fireworks. What I liked the best of all was Crystal ball dropping.

On New Year's Eve my family has a party. We watched fireworks on T.V. My favorite fireworks was in London because it was off Big Ben. We stayed up until 12:00 midnight to celebrate New Year's. My brother Matt had Y2Quet that means he slept through New Year's Eve. My Grandma and Grandpa was there. I thought it was a blast.

On New Year's Eve my Aunt and Uncle and Couvsins came
to our house to eat diner. My mom makies the food. This Year she made some Beef. I liked my mom's Beef. We played games like Trouble. They almost sleep over. If they sleep over my Aunt and Uncle would sleep in the gestroom. My Couvsin in my room.
And Matt would sleep in the family room. They would stay until 11:00 p.m. Then they would go home. I had a fun time on New Year's Eve.

Every New Year's my parents go out to a party, so my oldest sister Jennifer gets to baby sit, my sister and I. We all stay up to watch the drop in Time Square, but we watch it drop on TV. Jennifer makes buttered popcorn, and by 10:30 p.m. the popcorn is all gone. Then at 12:00 a.m. we blow are gold blowers that say 200 on them as hard as we can to welcome the New Year. I sure do wish we could have a New Year everyday!

My family and I have a special custom we do every year. We have roast beef for dinner. I like the roast beef because It is good in my stomach. And then we blow our noise makers at midnight. I can tell it is midnight because I have a pocket watch. And then we go bed. I like New Years because it is a fun night for me.

My family did something special for New Year's Eve. We had a big party with twenty people. We had a lot of fun. We played and ate a lot. We saw Big Ben in England and the biggest Ferris wheel in New York. The guy was getting the the Ferris wheel ready. We also watched a movie. And we counted down in the family room. I hope we do that all the time. Just like we did on December 31, 2000.
