Earth Day Facts
Mr. Buckman's Second Grade Class
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Earth Day (Saturday, April 22) the students at Trombly decorated paper shopping bags. The bags will be used on Earth Day to package groceries bought at a local Farmer Jack store. I our classroom, the students decorated their bags with Earth facts that were gathered from information books, classroom newspapers and information found on the Internet.  Their bags turned out wonderfully.  But more importantly, their have played a part in communicating to others the need for a clean and healthy environment.  The picture below are the finished Earth Day bags ready for use.  The writing below are some of the facts and suggestions that the students found to help our planet Earth. Thank you, Mrs. Navetta, for coordinating the Earth Day bag project at Trombly.
