Our Second Grade Class Project for the Trombly Auction Our second grade class decorated a toy box to be included in a PTO-sponsored Trombly Auction held Friday, February 26, 1999, to raise funds for the creation of a computer lab at Trombly. Mr. Buckman made the toy box out of pine. Then he added several coats of clear polyurethane for protection. Then the students set to work adding original art work, based a "toys" theme to the box. After a few more coats of polyurethane, the lid was attached and the project was sent to be auctioned off. The auction proved to be a huge success for the school. Our decorated toy box brought $400 during the live auction! Our class is very proud to have participated in the raising of funds for our future computer lab. |
