Welcome! Chess for Kids is a resource for chess players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced tournament players. We provide tutorials to improve your strength, as well as chess puzzles to practice on and learn from.

Learning to play chess has the benefits of increasing your perception and your ability to concentrate, as well being a very enjoyable sport.

If you are new to the game, start with our How to play section. If you are already familiar with the fundamentals and want to learn secrets that will help you beat your friends, try Basic Stratagies and Advanced Tactics. Or, study your chess openings with our Opening Book. You can also test yourself with our interactive Chess Puzzles, or jump right into Tournament Play, where we'll tell you how to prepare for your first tournament.
