You infected the mice and plants with fluid that wasn't heated.

Dr. Begely: Well the mice became infected and the plants did not. This is quite strange. A virus should have infected both sets of subjects.

Dr. Shelly: Well, viruses do not infect plants. However, I concur. This sample is an animal virus.

These doctors don't sound to sure of themselves, do you know the reason the virus didn't infect both the mice and the plants?

I feel the same way as Doc Begely, I have no idea why the virus didn't infect both types of subjects as it should have.

Of course, Doc Shelly is correct. Viruses do not infect plants. This explains the odd behavior.

I don't believe either of the doctors is correct.
