Message: To some it's a covalently bonded molecule, liquid at room temperature with strong hydrogen bonds , the atoms take up a v-shape with a H-O-H bond angle of approx 104.5 degrees...

To me it's an important part of my diet and hygiene schedule.

diethyleneglycol,
monoetyleneglycol, other polyols,
olefin fractions, butadiene,
isoprene and so on), also we can
supply some inorganic chemicals
(Sodium sulphate, barium salts,
calcium salts and so on) at the

Message: I have a quick chem question. I am
doing a science fair project for
my science/teaching class. I took
solutions of salt water and timed
how long it took an ice cube to
melt in the solution. Then I timed
how long it took to melt an ice
cube in just plain water. It took
MUCH longer for the ice cube to
melt in salt water. Could someone
explain why this happened in very
basic terms to me. This is
supposed to be a project for ele
kids, so basic is best. Thanks.
