Optional Activity 4A-2: Putting information in the right order

This activity should not take more than 25 minutes of the learners time.

  1. Preparation: Design and type a document that requires events to be placed in a specific order, for example historical dates, a process such as metamorphosis (change), a recipe; or the word order of words in a sentence. Type the items in an incorrect order.
  2. Lesson: Take a group of learners to the word processor and ask them to use cut-and-paste to place the items in the correct order.
  3. Sharing: Send an example of the original activity and the learners' completed answers as an attachment in a message to your group (using the subject heading "Learning tool"). Think about how the lesson worked and how it didn't, and include these observations in your message to the group.
  4. Read the messages from your group and respond to at least two of the messages, especially if  you feel that you can contribute towards solving a problem.
