To start FrontPage

From the Start button select FrontPage or select the   icon from the desktop.  The programme opens.

To create a web - only do this if you want to create a website

If you intend making a website, you must create a new web.  By making a website, you make sure that all files used are kept together.  On the menu bar click on New, then Web. 

A selection of ready made websites appears in the New website dialogue box.  Select One Page Web as shown. 

On the right hand side of the New dialogue box is the option indicating where to locate the new site.  

It is suggested when creating a first website, to follow the idea below.

The author created a number of sites, as shown before finally deciding on Electricity.  In the example the author decided to locate the site in the C drive.  The author deleted just the words Capital cities3 and replaced them with Electricity. 

FrontPage created a site called Electricity in the C drive.

A website on Electricity was created ready to develop.

It is suggested that beginner users follow the website creation idea above.

Click on the Index file.

The page index.htm opens.  Add the title of your website.  From this index.htm file all the main links will be added.  Excitement!
