Multiple Intelligences

Howard Gardner proposed a theory of intelligence
which suggests that we have multiple intelligences, or abilities
or skills, rather than one general intellectual ability. He lists
the following seven intelligences:

and ability to produce and appreciate rhythm, pitch and timbre;
and an appreciation of the forms of musical expressiveness. |

These people display
an ability to perceive the visual-spatial world accurately. |
5.Bodliy / Kinesthetic |
Dancer, sportsman / sportswoman |
These people display an ability
to control body movements and to handle objects skillfully |
6. Interpersonal |
Sales, marketing, psychologist/counsellor |
These people display an ability
to respond appropriately to the moods, character, motivations
and desires of other people |
7. Intrapersonal |
Person with detailed, accurate self-knowledge |
Access to one’s own feelings and
the ability to discriminate among them and draw upon them to
guide behaviour; knowledge of one’s own strengths, weaknesses,
desires and intelligences. |
