Dear Mrs Moloi,

I'm writing this letter on behalf of parents of Harry Gwala learners, in response to the message that I received from my son that there is now need for parents to contribute an extra $50.00 for the use of ICTs at the school.

To begin with, as a parent who is not that 'computer literate', I fail to understand the benefit of these computers at your school and think that asking for $50.00 is too much.

Assessing what children have told me, most of the teachers do not know how to use the computers, so why should we spend money on things where the benefits are not clear? Do you think the computers will bring any change to the school?

I have seen that the school is still lacking some materials like sport equipment why don't you divert the money you are trying to raise on computers to something beneficial?!

We are always eager to support the school, but we also know the priorities.

I hope you will re-consider the proposed plans. We welcome your response.

Sincerely,

Worried Parents
